Replacing stubborn tailpipes

Does anyone have any tricks for this?, I've scraped out the gasket, soaked the joint with penetrating oil, and they just will not budge.

Get a pipe wrench on them Pat and twist them back and forth. If you can heat the muffler bits were they go it might be handy too. I saw these on you car the other day, you could always just wait until they rusted away. Buy the looks of them it wouldn't be long:D:D:D

cut them off level with the muffler then use a hacksaw blade saw to split the pipe where it goes inside the muffler.
this way you can pry out the section using some pliers.
