just want to make sure i know wat i can get off other models, wats for pre 57 beetles etc.
i know front window smaller, back window obviously, hoods and fenders can be swapped, wat else?
wat about doors? can i swap with early 60s?

Sam are you building an Oval restoration.

Doors up to 67 ( I think) will fit post 55 Ovals. The earlier ones had some differing latching mechanisim. Oh and after 60 they had push botton door handles. So if you wanted to use the pre 60 pull out handles you have to fill a mounting hole.

Bonnets - All will fit up to 65 again (I think) but the prop style , pre 62?? fit the best. These have a flat area under were the VW logo mounts. Later ones have this area raised.

Guards - Front - any sloping head light guards will fit. Bumper mounts and indicator holes would need to be filled/changed

Guards - Rear - Most will fit but again later ones will need modification were the bumper mounts are.

If I think of any more I'll add it later

i think the lights mount lower on ovals...? someone correct me.
