only an upright conversion kit but if you go over 15% of standard you need an engineers

All T3s had 1500 or 1600 engines which are wider than the 40hp. I thought you need to do some engine bay clearance to fit the wider engine in an Oval bay?

if you were going to do that you may as well go al the way and use a bay kombi t4 2l, would cost about the same.

i agree with baybuscamperkid. i suppose the only reason u are asking this question is because u have a Type 3 engine that u could use however if u are going to go to all the trouble then u may as well get a nice big fast donl to power your oval. besides the ricers wont know what hit them when u dust em off at the lights:cool:

T4 swap cost about the same??? I don't think so and it is much more complicated. You are up for a minimum of $780 for the upright conversion kit (talk to Sharp Build) then preferably you will have to fabricate a rear engine mount because the T4 engine is heavier than the T1/T3 ones. Then there is teh fuel pump that you have to do something about too. I agree you would get more power but not for the swap price or amount of effort.

i dont run a rear mount and use a electric pump. it cost me $2G with engineers
