try to look at some for webbers and make them the same shape. Mine on my dells are straight sided. other option is to go the text book route.

Text book route? ...... fill me in?

Solex carbs and VW's really work well with Velocity stacks or stand off pipes, they help create a "fuel fog"which is an ideal mix of fuel /air
If you can read "How to hot rod VW engines" by Bill Fisher he explains the process, I dont belive they need a flare ,and all engines are different, therefore stack lengths will differ for each engine.
the option being Stick 180mm of 50mm pvc on it and start trimming it down until it either gets better or worse it is a trial process.once satisfied replicate the length in copper flare it and chrome it .....

text book, eg get a fluid mechanics text book and a engine tuning book and work it out from there.

ah ok, ill go the route of silver, get some pvc and shit from dads work, if it works well with the size on one carb will it be the same when i switch to duals or should i go through the process again.....

Go through the process again!

Found this interesting thread about stacks with webers on a TR-4 motor. You should read the bits about rolled vs sharp edges if you're making them yourself!

Yes, you should also think about what Bill Fisher mentions about the fuel spray containment in the "velocity stacks" (more commonly referred to as "stand-off",) then pour a bit of petrol on some PVC...

I bought some spun alloy, pollished ones from the states a thew month back for Kadrons. They look ultra cool at shows.

Not cheap thought $60us.
