Engine Number

Hi everyone
Can some one tell me where else other than next to the Dissy on the case I can find the engine number.

The engine came out of a 68/69 type3

the number should be on the top of the cases opposite the oil cooler, if there isn't one, then maybe they are replacement ones

Hi

It might have a Beetle or Kombi case fitted or a new case. If its a Beetle or Kombi case you wont be able to see the number with the fanhousing on.

Thanks steve t was an engine out of a car I just brought . Its got the blank in the normal place but no numbers so you could be right will check with the last owners to see if he ha it on the rego papers
