Installed Tacho - press horn - 3000rpm?? shows

Anyone help...
I have installed a Tachometer in My Sons Baja Beetle.
It works OK.. but when the horn button is pressed, the tacho does about 3000rpm...
The Horn is operated thru a relay.. and both are connected thru the ignition system...
This happens with the ignition on or when the engine is going....
Tacho is not a VDO...

with a bit of work, your horn should rev to 6000rpm at least!

without seeing how it is all wired it is hard to tell what could be wrong...

Check out you earths and I agree with no slow 63, 6000 at least

3000 is probably the oscilation frequency of the horn.

Purchace a better performing horn.:thumb
