The sydney group in Apollo bay have just rang me. They have had a beetle shag its' clutch and need some help.
They asked for a contact number for herbie as he is over that way (ish).
Does NE1 have the number or can help in amy other way ?

Just spoke to herbie and he is going to give them a ring.:thumb
Is this forum just superb or what ?
Just an update for everyone.
Herbie had the required part in his shed and is heading over to apollo bay - Top Bloke eh ?
Herb to the rescue. He's a good lad that.
Was it the 60? rag top that had the clutch trouble?
Probably as it was the only Beetle. DER. FB dont answer that.
good onyar Herb
so whos car was it at Appollo Bay??? any names.
It was this one Dave. Bloke with a real nice Mohican hairy
That would be Stuart and Corrin (spelling?), 63 ragtop
I absolutely fell for the Type 34 KG in this pic. Want one more than ever now.
For pics of all the cars that attended, and who they belong to, see my post in Club Chat under the Xmas Cruise topic.
I think I saw the mohawk guy one day at Vintage VW where my three year old daughter diplomatically said out loud "Daddy, why does that man have orange hair?"....
Hmmm, these things seem to happen to even the best of rides
It was great that you guys were able to help them and it does show the
value of this forum:thumb
Has anyone one heard how they went?
Thats Stewart n Corrin.... Thats Dean i thought it might be Stew,...
So is it fixed now,
Saw Herbie this afternoon. From what I gather it is.
They must have been on a day trip to Lorne, cos that were the beetle had it's trouble. They had all the gear they needed to fix the problem once
Herbie got the part to them. It was the clutch plate. Please correct me if I'm wrong Herbie I get out of my depth in this tech section :o
The group leave Apollo Bay tomorrow. Fingers crossed no more troubles.
