Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what everyone thinks about the idea of going to Chev journal sizes on a WBX crank?

Cheers,
Cam

WBX. more crank case clearance and cam clearance for a stroker and also for options for rod lengths for the perfect eingine combo.. We use chev journal in our strokers. would be same in t4 wasser boxers

Sorry Alex, are you saying it's a good idea?

Don't WBX cranks have type I journals? And if so I should be able to get my crank offset ground to take some Chev rods - just wondering if it would be a good move in regards to reliabilty?

I was advised that it wasnt a real good Idea by someone who actually ground vw cranks, due to the fact that the oil galleries get too close to the jounal, due to fact that a wbx 76 still uses the same oil drilling pattern as a 69 type 1. Dont know how correct this is but thats what I was told.
