or something.
was kinda making a popping noise as i was driving out of work, pulled over and checked leads, one was loose so i pushed it in.
no more popping noise
but
now its running much much lower on power.
i just had my bug serviced not 2 weeks ago, and not meaning to jump to any conclusions, should i take it back and ask what the hell is wrong with it??
yep could be some this easy to fix
definatly take it back and ask questions
if you dropped a piston it would have a big white cloud following it. id take it back and ask why
Us dummies who know nothing about engines rely heavily on mechanincs doing the job on the car right the first time. Thake it back and say "fix it
again"

well if you have lost it i would go looking for it, have you tried retracing ur steps until the last time you had it? what baout under the rear seat, i always find stuff there in my car that i lost :thumb
Take it back....................they may not have caused it, but at least they maybe able to help.
hmmm... took out the plugs today and number 3 was absolutely drenched in oil.
i think its time for new rings :cry
just took it in to the mechanics, running flat on cylinders 1 & 3, but compression is good on both.
said it could be a cracked head on 3?
they had no idea why the popping noise tho.

jack the car up and see if you can move the washers under the head studs with a screwdriver. If they move the case will need to be tapped or have case savers inserted. I've had this happen to two 1600tp (cylinders 1 2) I think it may have something to do with reving the crap out of them lol If thats whats up consider your options.
