Ok, i am trying to hook up an old Mark IV monitor aircon that i bought from the wreckers, it has 2 switches on it, one to control the fan speed and turn on the aircon, and the other to control the temperature. the fan speed switch was buggered, so i rewired the fans to run through my dash fan switch, and i will run a seperate on/off switch. my question is, what dd the temperature switch actually do, so i can work out how to rewire it again, and should there be any problem with using this old switch to conrtol the compressor, which is a generic looking unit that came out of my subi?

yeah, the nobs are in the center, but beside that nearly identical. if you could take a look that'd be great
