Replacing Fan
Silver_Platinum - September 17th, 2004 at 05:45 PM

Hey guys,

I tried searching but didn't find an answer. Would I see any benefit in replacing the current fans in a Kombi (which I do not have yet) with bigger and more power full fans?

Thanks,

Kombi have one fan ( 1 ) , you could fit a oil cooler would be better option if your pulling a load or in a hot place

How hard would it be to implement a oil cooler into the Kombi?
Can it be done by myself?

You can buy a oil cooler kit
the kit has a adapter that has fittings for the hoses to go on to .
the only problem is the ( stock oil cooler is removed )

if you sit in one spot ( say at the lights ) the motor temp will rise , owners do fit a electric fan that comes on via a temp switch as the heat comes up , this works .

I would say if you did not have the skills to fit a * full flow oil filter and cooler * via tapping the case > this would be your best option by far .
any one else ??
