Can the front g/b mount be replaced without removing the g/b? Mine is cracked which makes the car shake on acceleration

On a beetle swing axle u can slide the transmission back a few inches enough to clear the front mount so you can replace it. I'd assume it'd be the same as a ghia.

It can be done the engine has to come out

much easier to remove the whole lot
