Not vw, but has anyone worked in a servo with a driveway bell

I'm looking for a lead on where I can get hold of a driveway bell. It’s that thing that was around when you got service from you local service station…..lol

If anyone could help it would be great ……thanks

you get them from the SSA which is the service station association. they have a website but i dont remember it

i saw one at the markes the other day, $40 less the hose bit, ill be there next weekend, will have a look if you want....

and Nick its that bell that you heard as you go into a servo when you run over the hose:P

usually a couple of different types for sale on ebay under automemorabillia,they're brand new $79us i think

ahh the bell :)
I remember them well, back in the days when you could check your tyre pressures without searching for the hose or driving away from the pump, oil bottles were readily available in the centre islands,pumps had to be zeroed mechanically and you were able to lock the trigger on while ya did something else
These days the damn servo's are more of a supermarket with fuel pumps :o

thats not an old fellas rant, thats when service was given at a service station . those were the days:) respect and courtesy was used everywhere
