Hi all
I have a body of a 1970 superbug which I am putting my 1970 1500 enginge into (1500 body got crunched :blush). anyway, the body of the superbug needs
a paint job - does anyone have any advice on spraying? Ie - I'm in Melbourne and wondering how to go about it??
Second question - my original 1500 was beautiful - but the front bonnet/quarter panel is now history - and the torsion bar is bent. Would anyone in
their right mind attempt to rebuild?? Or just use/sell the parts?? the engine (which i'm thinking of putting in the superbug) and all other things
are in excellent condition.

See the paint and body section of the forum...it is in depth for what you want to do.
I am in the process....
1. Take of the gaurds, bonnet and boot, and remove lights.
2. bucket, water, 400 wet and dry, sponge....sand all pannels and car.
3. fix any dents and sand and mask areas.
4.primer/guide coat.
5.sand wipe down then remove all glass from windows..etc
5.Paint and blow inside car....polish.
We have taken 2 days and will take 1.5 more.
Easy, mate did it with me who was a pannel beater.
Also...car has to be pretty straight..prep work and repairs take the longest...

Research, research, research and get a mate who's been there and done it himself. Trial and error is also a great learning curve.
There's no quick and easy steps.
