I'm ordering some konis through a contact I have and I need to be able to tell him exactly the shocks I'm after. Problem is, of course, I don't really know. I know we want the Special Ds or whatever they're called (the red ones).

They are for a 71 standard beetle.

He's asked if they should an eye top mounting or stem. I'm assuming eye.... but what the hell do I know!:thumb

If someone could even come up with a model no. that would be fantastic!

If it is a 71 standard then it is BJ front end and swing axle rear. The fronts should be a stem mount and the rear is an eyelet. The special D's are the red ones that are adjustable (you need to take them off for this). They are only adjustable on rebound though.

Ruckus koni got a website dude,but if i had to GUESS front 80-1787 for bj and rear 80-1350 swing a.these are the red ones but dosnt say SPECIAL D,luck dude
