Send an email to Mick & Christine at Mick Motors and ask them..
You can get High Energy Ignition kits from Jaycar & Dick Smith

they have to be assembled etc....
It is the cheapest way to go....

anyone got technical info on the workings of these 'compufire' systems ?
bein a mechanic Im interested in exactly what they do and how they fit etc
are the points retained or replaced etc
:jesus

The cheaper versions still use the points but instead of Amperes going thru the points, only milliamps go thru them,
so they Never pit or burn etc.. You only need to adjust the points when the rubbing block wears down.

and if the system fails - just connect up the condenser and coil as per original and drive away....

Maybe someone can answer about the compufire system.
