Is it possible to change the front seats in a 71 kombi.
How hard is it, does a registered installer need to do it?
i would like to put bucket seats in.

Also can you change the steering wheel to a wood look one.where do you buy them from.
thanks:cool:

you generally have to modify the seat rails to fit the seat thatyou want, then yes you should legallyget the seats complianced,
you can go to autobarn for the steering wheels normally the have them, they shouldalso be able tohelp with the boss/adaptor kit

To fit aftermarket seats leagally on QLD you need to strengthen the floor that the seat bolts to. It requires a bit of doing, and having some one approve the mods and have it blue plated.
Talk to some one who approve it for you and get some prices before you start doing it to save heart ach down the track.
On the steering wheel, most aftermarket ones are smaller than the kombi wheel, and might make it harder to steer.
