Underfill tanks in hot weather!
geodon - January 14th, 2003 at 01:55 PM

Don't fill right up in very hot weather! I did then parked & the fuel expanded, overflowed (36hp tank on my K/G- no vent pipe) & blistered my pristine freshly painted tank!

I had the diesel from the truck overflow the other day in the heat - It made a nice gooey mess of the ashphelt driveway. Good thing I don't live there anymore.

I had they guy at the servo freak out and ready to shut down the pumps and call the fire brigade!

After I filled up the Beetle, the vent pipe started spewing out, and he noticed it from inside. He spat it badly.

I just said no worries mate, the motor's as far away as it can be (He thought the motor was in the front). And I started it and drove off, and no more came out.

It was only about a square foot of fuel spillage!

Couldn't care less about what they think. Do you know they actually put a letter on the winscreen of my mother in laws car because she was in our driveway helping us to move. She had a trailer on and you arn't allowed to have trailers at the Strata title!

Threatened us under clause, section, subsection, appendix etc. Dickheads!

No wonder nobody does as they get told to do. Wanted to photocopy it and put it into every letter box in the place but just didn't have time. Would have kept them bust for a month or two at meeting dealing with angery residents.

So they actually put the letter on the car that was helping you move out!

What's the point of that, you were moving out. What were they going to do, give you a second warning. Your'e going, so what a bloody waste of time that was on their behalf.

I suppose they put letters on removal trucks, because they aren't allowed on the title either? Maybe Plumbers vans, or how about any car that is coloured blue!

That's petty.

Thats just the way they are. Funny thing was they waited till it was parked up the hill a bit to do it because otherwise we would have seen them perhaps.

I guess they get a bit of flack -

Wonder why!
