Hi all,
I am wondering if it is possible to bolt a ball joint front end onto a pre 68 pan?
If so is it possible to use the pre 68 beam and just use ball joint arms and spindles?
I am thinking of converting the front of my 64 to ball joint for the better performance, just wondering if it is possible. Does any mounts have to be
modified or front end body work?
Matt.
to bolt a BJ beam to a King and Link pan you have to chop the framehead off and replace with a later one as they mount differently. Also this would
require an engineer's certificate.
Easier just to switch to a semi-auto pan. This means u also get the late semi-trailing arm rear end. and the only thing u need to get engineered is
the body swap.
You can section a ball joint beam to bolt up to an early pan, it just takes time and alot of measuring.
I,ve done it to a 67 i've got , also did irs conversion using t3 suspension. Anythings possible . You could also get a superbug pan and put beam
front on that , alot easier to get sb than a semi auto pan. plus you can buy frame heads brand new still.
