when did boxes change to single side plate and 3.88 ??

hmm. i am wondering if the 72 and 74 beetles both used a single side plate box and were the 3.88 r&p.

as i have a chance to pick them up.

Any help appreciated ASAP.

Pretty sure the late 1303's (1974 and on) were the single side plates.

Before they are the dual plate 4.38 IRS box
