The best thing for rubber is glycerine.
This is also the active ingredient in KY Jelly (and similar). So smear some KY onto your rubbers, massage it in with love and care, and be gentle.
Just remember to start off slow
perhaps first a candle lit dinner and/or romantic movie. I think if you go straight for the KY it could be perceived as a bit insensitive.
Just work it all over real nice like Barry White!

As for the rubber, there's not much you can do - it tends to rot over time no matter what. Armour-all will make it slippery and many doubt that
silicon-based products produce the protection they promise. You could try a technque I've used at work: Apply a generous coating of
non-abrasive hand cleaner (the stuff that contains lanolin - ya just gotta love the smell of raw wool,) wait twenty minutes and rub it off. A Vintage
guy (I guess we're getting to be like that) once said he used Dubbin as his secret weapon on rubber - you could probably try that, too.
Maybe someone has some long-term experience they'd like to share on this one...
