Ok I've read most of the threads regarding central locking and still got a question or two:

what is the pushing/pulling force on the heavy duty kits compared to standard kits.

are the cheapies strong enough for the sliding door and how do you run the wiring on the sliding door

as some cheaps kits don't advertise this fact. I'm planning to do the 4 doors on the kombi, been moved up the list as another lock has call it a day.

Easy, I've got it on my KG and had it on my 69 bay. Theres a bit of mucking around, but the standard kit works fine.

I found hiding the wiring the hardest part.

How do you run wiring into the sliding door actuator? surely you don't have a loom of wiring hang there when closed

There is a switch that you should be able to buy at the shop you get the kit from that has two halves makes contact when the door is closed. They are used on almost all vans for speakers etc in sliding doors

KombiCol has just done all this to his van and did a great job
Setting the slidiing door one to the loch is harder than expected though
You need to do some work on the lock itself to expose some of it ...or something
