Speedo Cable

Gday

After a crash in the 73 superbug i needed to fit a new speedo cable. my problem is that after the cable was pushed through its proper route, it wouldnt turn. if it were connected it would simply snap. it is kinked somewhere behond the glovebox we suspect. how can remedy this? our glovebox has been impossible to remove, even with violence (we bought it off pamela anderson - when in doubt add silicone) as it is firmly stuck in with a number of plastics. is there a way to fit the speedo cable without this happening? what trick am i missing?

Sounds like the inner cable has started to fray & break ....

Sorry, I don't know how hard it is with a 1303S Beetle...

Ordinary Beetles are a piece of cake....
