the bolts in beam adjusters/selecatrops!! HELP
killakornkobb - December 7th, 2004 at 07:10 PM

im currently running my front end very low to the ground, but i can't raise it anymore, because the bottom adjuster bolt is knackered.. what is the size, and proper name for these bolts to i can get a new one?

it has a hex indentation on each end, like a bolt, but without a head.

Selecta drop's or sway away's.
We do them.

i've got a set.. just need one bolt so i have enough length in it to raise the car.

my cousin was using it in his bug B4 me, and it has been worn away :/

Can you get the old thread out?

killakornkobb - December 7th, 2004 at 07:21 PM

yeah i can get it out fine.. the thread itself is good, there just inst enough length left in it anymore, from being ground away on the road (my cousin's beetle was VERY LOW)

i just need to replace the bolt, but i don't want to drive to a bolt place, have to remove the bolt from the beam to check i have the right thing:)

That's what i was gonna suggest you do.
Suppliers have guides in printed form of bolt patterns and thickness.
Maybe grab one of these and take it home to pair it up against your old thread?
Still gotta drive but the bolt can stay in.
