Does anybody have any info on fitting one piece windows to the cab doors of a bay window kombi?
I've seen this done so know it can be done, but does anybody have any info on how to do this?

yep just get one piece windows and rubbers and put them in i have a one piece rear side if you want it $20
Sorry, I'm talking about the front windows, the ones that usually have a fixed 1/4 window and a 3/4 whind down window.
i imagine if you could get the right glass it would be possible to slide it onto the standard mechanism.
You would have to get custom curved glass made. Other than that it should all come together with a bit of patience.
You cant get custom curved glass. I thought combi's had flat side glass anyway?????
If it's flat you can do it reasonably easy although it's best to relocate the winding mech over a little ensure that the glass is being pushed up
equally. If not the glass will dip and the front can easily pop out the bailey chanel. Taking a good pattern is the key for sure and it has to be a
hard pattern , ie wood or perspex. Also you have to see that a full size glass will actually go up and down in the door without hitting or scraping
off anything inside the door. I've had to do a few mods there!!!!
I'm converting my Notch to 1 piece and actually using a mix of Ford Lazer winding mech and Holden glass fittings which is mounted exactly in the
middle of the door .
Go to any places that wrecks old van and have a look at one that has a similar shaped door to a combi's . Take the door panel off and have a look .
May help you get an idea of what you need to do and a good source of parts.
Good luck!

You can get custom curved glass! Price it up and it will cost you about $2000 to get a mould made. Been involved with people makin new rear screens
for Old Holdens, which are custom curved glass.
Yes Bay window busses have slightly curved front door glass. They really are bent window models.
With enough money and folk wanting a glass anything is possible at a price. Didn't realise that combi glass is sided. I'll check t'w at work.

This one had one piece glass. Was at Valla.

THATS MY BUS!!:P
Hey Mike M, I have contacts for making them. I can get some more made up. Contact me on 0402233027 (Aaron) there about $210 each all ADR approved
aus/standards.
They look cool....do you have any install pics etc? Was it much work to fit them in?
Sorry no pics.
I used Iveco mechanism, Im pretty sure vw ones will fit, mine were broken.
A little fiddly but definetly worth it!
Also, where did you get the LEDs from for the indicators , tail lights etc?
I made the backs and lenses from acrylic, wired them all with diods and resistors, that took hours, 292 LEDs in each tail light.
Thanx for taking notice, and theres plenty more mods most people dont see!
Holy crap....thats a lot of LEDs.....did you finally get a gearbox to hold together with that motor yet?
Yeah, it coped with 400hp @wheels on a dyno and at the strip. You might alredy know that I now have a 20B triple rotor twin turbo, quieter and more
power!
