got some 15x5.5 brm4s on my six eight bug with some 185/65 yokos all around and they're scrubbing a bit too much on the front (yeah it's kinda
low...). can anyone tell me who makes and who sells any smaller tyres to fit on these babies?

Hey I feel your pain - I've gone through 3 tyre changes in two weeks! I've got 165s on the front now but they're too high for my liking (80) so I'm trying to chase down the ones Golde's60 has on the front (175/55). I'm soooo pissed that this is the hardest thing I've had to do with the car all year (well, ok not quite). If you're really low and you want the cred you could buy the 135s for sale at the moment. They're a bit scary for me. Good luck and let me know if you come up with any Brainstorms.:thumb
135s would be a bit crazy on 5.5s :o
175/55s would be perfect. let me know if you come across any, and i'll do the same
Dude mega expense... just found out. You may have to go the way I have, hope not.
I may have missed it but have you considered 145s for the front? I ran them on 5.5in BRMs (Flat 4) and 205/65 on the rear on a stock width lowered beam 63 beetle - never rubbed unless the car had 4 heavy people in it!

They were a little stretched but certainly not dangerously so - have a look through how many cal-lookers in the states run 145s on BRMs....lots.
Regardless of what the yanks do (as their rules obviously aren't the same as ours), my 145s looked great and had no clearance probs. I think they
were 145/60...made by michelin I think in the XZX pattern. Got mine years ago so not sure where to source them now - can't remember cost?? Sorry

Sorry - they're Bridgestones if that helps.
