Hey all,
I have a squareback with an embarrasing water problem.:blush
When it rains, water comes in via the window seals and ends up on the floorpan.
I have no interior door panels on at the moment and just did a hose test on both doors.
The water gets in from the bottom seals in the window, then hits the inside metal of the door, runs down and is dropped on to the floorpan where it
gathers in huge puddles. :duh
I dont have the plastic vapour lock sheet in place on my door either and plan to put them back in, but I dont know how this will stop the water
entering the cab? Whats the beat stuff to use to replace this sheeting?
Can anyone give me some knowledge from their own trials and tribulations with this problem??
Many Thanks in Advance!!!

my dub leaked in the back window got the rubber taken out and the whole window frame is full of rust..............
are the door drain holes clear
Drain holes are very clear, the first thing I checked.
I used some garbage bags for that sheeting and it seems to work if that's any help.
Is this the only pace the water is coming in? Check under the dash to see if the drainage pipes are blocked [mine were full of years of dead insects].
Squiz....
I heard a while back about the garbage bag idea in the doors, I may have to look at this too as my doors leak but the water goes out the bottom.
Could you maybe.....kick the wifes car out into the weather and park in the garage? Only an idea.....
