I have just bought a awning for our kombi and it is awsome, but what can it take? The weather is realy windy at the moment and I am worried it will
get damaged by the wind. It looks a bit flimsy but I think it is designed to move around a bit. Should I put extra guy lines on it? When should I pull
it down? How water proof should they be and what can I do about it? Happy new year to you all
Ta
Philip
Here is a pic of ours, it is self supporting in light winds, but if the winds pick up I fit two poles at the ends and tie them down. As for water
proof, it keeps the rain off you but does pool up with a lot of rain then seeps through. Good for light showers tho.

and another
Thanks, looks good. Ours it a origonal tent that is fitted to the kombi. Wish I had a pic. Will put one on soon. It is still standing. Have a good one
guy ropes are good. if set up properly should last through anything. if you are afraid of the wet tie a silver tarp over the roof and it will make a world of diffeence. they dont look any more flimsy then any of the tents that i have stayed in and a tent will survive anything, so you should be right.
