hi all im thinking of putting 50 series tyres on the front of my split just wondering if any one is running 50s with white wall spats and how they are holding up?
thinking of fitting them then spraying contact cement would be happy if they only last the life of the tyre

yep i got this set up
try to go for a skinny tyre mine are 195/50/15 , as for how long they will last not sure i havent really tried them out properly , with the contact cement they would be ok you would think i might do this myself

Dont quote me on this but I have heard that you will damage the whitewall flaps if you glue them on, as when the tyre is flat at the bottom the flap moves away from the tyre a bit and if it was glued it wont be able to do this.
I can see this happening because if you look behind a flap that has been on a tyre for a while you will see it has worn the tyre.

Like I said it might be ok but just what I had heard.
