I cant find anyone here (NZ) who has done this, or can do this without it being cheaper to go and buy a new case.
Any suggestions from your side of the ditch appreciated.
... might just be quicker and easier to get a new case, methinks
new case......
eight resets to machine out the hole, fit inserts them machine to size not be cheap.
If you have to re sleeve the bores ..... then i think you will find lots more problems with the crankcase.
Yes it is cheaper to purchase a new case. I can not recall anyone doing this process
I paid $80 for crank & case a few weeks ago. It's getting built into a hottie right now. Sleeving would be hours setting up, machining etc - therefore $$$$
Thanks.
The case is only 1000 miles old, it is std apart from this problem. I may end up sending it to the US, cost dependant, or it may become an expensive
coffee table leg !!!
