Urethane bushings - round instead of knobby??
Chewy - January 28th, 2005 at 10:44 AM

Is it possible to use a smooth, round urethane instead of a knobby one for the inner springplate bush??

Thanks

I would only use a genuine part as a round bush can turn in the housing... the knobs keep the rubber bush from turning so ALL the wear is on the bush....
Nolathane is also very hard....
If You do use them I would use rubber grease on the shaft to make sure it turns and doesn't squeek....

I have been told that nolathane engine mounts will no longer be made....
they are still available at Vintage Vee Dub and maybe Mick motors but they could be like VW Trends magazine.....

a thing of the past..... No Longer Available.....

I have just had some poly inner bushes made - slight offset, left and right, just like late standard ones. Softer than other brands. $50pr. PM for details
