any body got any tips on removing and replacing steering box in a super, other than swearing while swinging a hammer?:cussing
you need a ball joint breaker.
Dont use a "pickle fork" the tong you belt with a hammer.
Use the device you do up the bolt and it presses the joint out - $40 at mot tool shops
i just got it out with the hammer and a Big screwdriver, and a bit of persistance, nothing bent, but now looks like the spline on the new box is
smaller than the old one. same part numbers though. ill go get some more dirt in my eyes and see if that makes any difference..... got it all in place
but there is a little movement where the steering box spline slides into the steering coupler with the bolt tight. is this bad?:duh

ok, i just found out there are no differences in super box's, the spline was smaller by 0.3 of a mm. could be an after market brazilian reco kit? ill put it back in and hope i dont keep going straight when i turn the wheel:jesus jesus protect me
