Sharpbuilt have a very nice set up but the prob is the cost of the Porsche fan parts/ alternator / stand.
They are a very efficient fan and as long as not run too fast would cool more than stock without using more HP.:thumb

yeah the most expensive part is the Porsche alternator if you can find one there around 7 to 800 nowdays ... and if you tell the Porsche guy its for a VW then they probally wont sell it to you as well.

Bernie Bergman does a conversion that uses a Golf alternator.

I know V Force has a mould and makes his own shrouds. Pretty sure he uses a Porsche fan though.

I have a 5 blade alternator which has been rebuilt. If that helps... chassing $ 550

Porsche alternator/shoud kits are VERY VERY cool :)

only problem with them is they are rare unless you want to import a new one (or the gene berg kits using the golf alternator)

I think landed in australia you would be looking at around $2000 os so
