Asking the same question Darren, but for a Type 1 1300 manual transaxle. Put in Castrol 80W but got a slow leak!!!

Was thinking of putting a 90W oil in but can only seem to find LSD oils at the manufacturers web sites. None of them mention (Catrol that is) the Hypoy 90.

Where is everyone buying this Hypoid 90W Trans oil from????? Bit of a mystery to me!!!!

Help would be great for both Darren and myself!!!

Still a mystery i guess.

There's te 80W-90 oils around but wanting to know if anyone has used a 90W oil?

Has anyone use the new Castrol 90 LSX for LSD vehicles??? B/c on the back of the bottle it says'not suitable for all syncomesh vehicles'. They say there's an additive in it for LSD's.

Guys
i have not seen a "straight" 80 or 90 weight oil in years.
Just pour in plain old 80-90w gear oil.

Running just about any oil will not "cause" a slow leak, you had it in the first place.
