Anyone know any sites on how to repair small dings in surfboards. Can you buy kits, If I sand back the varnish(clear laquer) what can I repaint it with.etc etc

I only have a few small cracks at the base and would like to repaint it so any help would be great.

Cheers

u will find most boards are usually painted on the blank (the foam). small cracks or dints or chips can be filled with any resin you like (Mitre 10 resin is fine) or you can get a repair kit that will come with a small amount of resin and hardener and glass cloth from most surf shops. if you want to repaint the whole board then the easiest option is to use acrylic paint (car paint, basically) then shoot a coat or 3 of clear over the top when your done. this is how most graphics are done on boards these days

Buy a repair kit from a surfshop...if only small repairs...thats not the best option for painting if you want to use it, but if its just for display will look ok...

I will be using it, its gone a brown colour and has a few small dents at the bottom near the fin.
I was thinking if I fix the dents with the repair kit, can I then sand it down, clean it, and then spray it with 2 pac and then spray some clear to seal it.
Any help greatly received.

Also can anyone tell me what the board is.
Its 9'1"and fiberglass.

Cheers

looks like a pretty classic mal. the other option (if you have a good compressor, which judging by your bus you do) is to buy a real cheap spray gun with a real wide opening and spray a coat of finishing resin over the top of your paintwork, that way it is guaranteed to last forever (have never tested the clear laquer method, only been recommended it by some pro's)
