Fit a beetle on a 10x5 trailer???

Hi,

Seemed like a kind of technical question....

I'm planning to pick up a complete beetle from Bathurst on Sunday and bring it back to Goulburn.

I have a mates 10x5 trailer rated to 1.5 tonne with disc brakes and stuff so am curious whether I will fit a beetle on it.

Has anyone done this before? Any tips about loading the beetle if it will fit?? I'll bite the bullet and get a full trailer if it won't fit.

It will be a tight squeeze, the front and back will be hanging over, make sure you put it on backwards, and you should be ok.

Thanks.

I've lined up to get the trailer early so I can see if my current beetle fits. It does look to be a tight squeeze.

On the same topic, anyone tried putting the body minus floorpan on a smallish trailer?

Yes, 7 x 4 fits easy, on top, with 2 lengths of wood running across to sit the body on.

I've put a pan minus body in a 6x4, fits easy, would be alright to put the body on a 6x4 too?
anyone done it?
