Hi guys
looking at sending my oval of to be painted an finished of and would like to know if the kombi ute would be able to tow the float+oval legally and
without stuffing the ute ?
It would b a couple of hour drive
Thanks
Forgot to say 75 single cab with 1800 or 2l not sure
depends on the weight of the float. Some are pretty hefty / weighty
ALSO is the oval complete or minus engine, glass seats.
(RULE Used to be if the weight of the total in tow is less than front car then is legal.)
just take it seady in least heat and traffic is my motto (night for weight = get up the hills)
Yes, some car trailers are very heavy themselves....
plus a beetle and its probably illegal....
but if You travel at night - cooler for the engine...
If its a nice lightweight trailer....
You have it made.....
best of luck

Don't know if it is legal or not but a freind used to tow his class 4 baja and spares with his Kombi he had a 2.1lt motor with an external cooler but never seemed to have any major problems
i know a guy who has towed a splitty behind a 928!
Lawrence at German Autos here in Brisvegas used to tow his V8 Racing Buggy on a car trailer behind his 2l Bus. Reckons it was never a drama.
Good Luck.
Thanks guys
I will ring around to find who has the lightest flaot then and travel overnight .
I towed a XD falcon with an automatic type 3. Anything is possible, but not necessarily legal.
I think this is from the Netherlands. (no hills)
