Mounting brackets for foggies on a type3?
Gibbo - March 13th, 2005 at 01:32 PM

Hey all,

I am wondering if anyone with foglights on their Type3 can post pictures of the brackets / mounts you have them on?

Thanks.

what year t3? on my bus the spotties are mounted on bolts that go through the bumper, nice and simple, you could do the same if it was a late T3, but i dont think it would work on an early one.

Anyone know where I can get or how to make 'hole-less' mounting brackets like these??

Please.... ;)

I saw some with grub screws under neath, but they can mark the bumpers....

If You have access to the bumper brackets, You can do what people used to do on early beetles...

a piece of steel either side of the bracket bolted top & bottom with one piece of steel longer than the other and bent 90 degrees with a hole drilled in the top for the lamp to attach to....

thats fairly simple.... and can be taken off without damaging anything...
