the hoses on my bug which come off the fan shroud are blocked off at the bottom by two oil caps...??? good idea, bad idea, why are they there, should i get rid of them????

They are the hoses that go to your heater boxes

If they are blocked off you obviously dont have a working heater.
If you have J tubes you dont have heater boxes.

It is better to have them blocked off than just free blowing

No drama though
