what is the best chemical for cleaning off fishoil.
Try mineral turps
Wax + grease remover
Auto Paint thinners....
one of these will work depending on how cured/old the fishoilene is.
(!)
If it has fully cured you will not remove it with chemicals (apart from paint stripper). You need sandblasting, wire brush wheel or sanding.
I was going to say "You don't take fish oil off" but if its somewhere that has to be painted or seen...
Its great under the guards and on the chassis... I have about 4 litres of Fish Oil in MY Beetle.... Talking about fishoil .. I have been using it
since the late 60's and I have used just about every brand on the market , but My Son just bought a 4 litre tin of Motorpro fish oil and it is
THE BEST I have used... Dries within a few days... and sticks very well... I do have some on undercoated paint which I will have to get off somehow..
probably wet & dry paper....:o:thumb
I've always use petrol, works great, but can't say I've tried it on fishoil that's had a few years to dry.
hi there scratch it up and hit it with paint striper, then clean with sandpaper, treat steel with steelwool,...if its to be top coat painted start from bare metal for best results...cheers:beer
