anyone got any tips or tricks for getting these nasty little buggers onto the stock beam??
cheers
Wait for a special occasion, use lots of water based lube, light some candles and ask the beam nicely before you start pushing.
Das, are you sure your answering the right question?
lol.
Maybe can the part about the special occasion and candles, but using some water based lube and pushing did it for me last time I installed one :thumb
pushing it on worked? wow
I lubed mine up with some lithium grease and used a clamp to try and press them on with no luck
they are tight little bashtards
on the type 3 we had one jack lift the car up, another jack on the shock mounts, a piece of wood between the mount and the stop AND alot of patience
and a few goes at it!!!!!!!!!!!

I had no dramas either, just put some lube and some elbow grease, maybe go to the gym and pump some iron for a couple of weeks before hand and then do it. Are you sure you got the correct ones?
Got them on
thanks guys, just put them in boiling water and pressed them on with a woodwork clamp
cheers
