Spark Plug gaps and a few other Q's

Howdy,
Ok well first let me say those spark plugs are a bastard to get to, what is the correct tool to use i have a sparkplug wrench but it doesnt seem to fit is there something specifically made for a VW beetle?

Also in my VW know it all book it states "use the spark plug spaces specified in the manual" well that isnt really any use as i dont own the manual. So i have a 1600 tp (1969 motor i believe) but i still dont know the spacing for the plugs or the contact set. So any help would be great.

just use a park plug socket (looks like a normal socket piece, but is about 3 -4 inches long) and an equally long ratchet extension. If you get one that too long, you'll end up hitting the side of your firewall...

With the plug spacing, the manual states .026" - .027" I'm pretty sure...

i use NGK B5HS spark plugs in my 1600 the idiots guide recomends .025" - .027" i use a spark plug socket on a swivel socket wrench but short of this get a wobbly attachment for a socket wrench and u should have no trouble getting around the tin ware
