How hard is it to remove the seats in my kombi?
Ive got two seperate front seats and I am interested in cleaning underneath them and maybe replacing the rubber mats that covers the pedistals
Anyone know if I can by them and where?
I noticed at the dubs by the pub that a large % of the buses and bugs were not replaced and in poor condition
Can I carpet it maybe?
Mine are in pretty good condition but I wanted to protect what I have left

What year model??
Most driver seats should slide straight forward off the rails. If you have the tinware behind the seats, the passenger seat should just clip in. The
back should fold forward and just lift off.
It varies a little between the years though.
Not sure if the covers are still available, but it's not hard to either carpet or re-line in vinal etc.
It's a good idea to lift the covers there from time to time and make sure there's no moisture under them.

the drivers seat is removed just by sliding it fully forward on the runners until it comes out. Passengers seat is removed by lifting the cushion up
from the front as hard as possible towards the backrest, at same time push downwards on backrest to remove backrest from clip on bulkhead behind
seats, then lift whole lot up & out,
bit hard to describe, but have a look
sorry I should have said.....1976 bay
I sure wish the rubber pedestal covers were available- they make a huge difference.
Mine just have small tears where they sit on an edge etc etc
probably repairable if I knew how
the drivers seat sometimes have a small clip which stops them sliding all the way out you will have to lever this aside to slide them all the way out it is still an easy job though
