Hey, starting the rust work on my bug, doing heater channel and general panel repairs.

what gage sheet do I need?

The early beetles were 20 gauge (0.94mm) and the late ones were 22 gauge (0.8mm)

What about for the heater channels? they're a bit thicker right?

And what year did they go to the thinner gage?

try 18 guage(1.2 mm) for the heater chanels
