first one, my coil is getting real hot, and I mean hot, you can only just touch it after about 5 mins of driving, I know its a 12v, what wires do I
need to check, it all looks right to me, can the condenser effect this? ..
Another, I was getting some fuel leaking out of the carby, could not tell exactly where from, but it was leeching out, this was on the engine when I
go it... hooked up to the fuel lines...

Is it a pressure regulator, if so, should I put it back on, guess it was there for a reason..
Also, the gen also gets real hot, can only just touch it, I don’t thinks that’s normal....
Apart form that, its perfect! :P any suggestions?
i think that looks like a one way valve
it was installed on cars that were parked on hills
it stopped all the fuel being siphoned from the tank into the crankcase
you can leave it off(if your not always parked on a hill)
probably get a fair $ for it too!
i think your right there, i can blow one way through the bottom, but not suck out the other end, interesting..
what values should I be getting of the wires with my multi meter? standard 12v when the ignition is on? also, how hot is it s'posed to get?
4500 - 6900ohms HT to neg terminal
0.76 - 0.84ohms + to - terminals
Approximately

What might be woth checking is that the coil you have is actually a plain 12V coil or is it a 12V ballasted type?
If its a ballasted type, like a Bosch GT40R then you should be running it with a ballast resistor and a resistor bypass wire from the starter
solenoid.
