Caster shims for raised beam?
Chewy - June 1st, 2005 at 02:46 AM

Is there any point in putting caster shims on a stock raised beam. ie. adjusters for increasing front spring rate, but still with stock size bump stops installed.

This is way I see it, dont know if Im right but..
Seeing as the suspension travel moves through an arc, with the trailing arms pre-loaded to the point they are against the bump stops, the caster will be increased(?) and the handling will be even more stable than stock??

How do other peoples bajas handle with a raised front end?

BTW its King and link if it makes any difference

Cheers

If the car is raised "level" that is smame height front & rear then I think the caster would be the same as stock settings so there possibly still could be a benefit in fitting them.
