hey gang just lowerd the back of my splitty just after some info on how too lower the front before i start pulling things off.
How low do you want to go?
let down the tyres, instant 3 inch drop :P
drop spindles and adjusterble beam only, you cannot lower like a type 3, be prepared for a big spend..$$

If you want a tip I would say that you should ask your father and then listen to him, I am sure he has some ideas...
BTW I will post a few pics of your splitty van on the forum if you like....for a price! I hope you look after it as well as the previous owner, ( ie.
the owner prior to the guy you bought it off)

hey Preacher man got any suggestions on how to drop the front a few inches. I dont really know how to do the front your mate with the fifteen window
said take out acouple leafs but im not sure what he meant. I think you have too pull the hole bar out. The rear was not a bad job did it on the hoist
all you do is basicly take of the spring plates and adjust the torsion bars to suit the spring plate to the desired hight. yeah please put some photos

I don't understand 'take a few leafs away" The front end is not leaf spring suspension. The font end will mean putting in an adjustable beam which
is very expensive but many on the forum have done it. Frenzix is someone you should contact as he has done it a couple of times. The early bay window
rears are put in with some work. The cost goes to many hundreds. Should have researched before you dropped the rear.
Indianmotive...you can find their number on this forum through the 'business' option on the top of this page have done many splittys and they have a
webpage that gives specs etc...lots of work but nice. Save the money and do the body up...for now.
Easy way to get rid of the reduction boxes in the rear btw is to fit a beetle straight thru axle. The guys on the forum will let you know what year
you need.
Just get RobK aka splitbusaustralia to drop them, $400 pair, gives a 3' 1/2 drop, dont take out any springs man, that will be very dangerous..
