Anyone got any pics and tips on removing the reverse light sender from a bug gearbox?
I'm 99 percent sure it simply screws in...
Frame horn is in the way of getting mine out- i think it might be a gearbox out job
More difficult than I thought. I changed it when the motor was out for a transmission change. The sender on the new transmission had the connector
snapped off.
not sure, but you may be able to do it with a very flexible arm, lots of pain and the right spanner.
will need a short allen key to get in there!!! Maybe a bit for a racket that fits the key. Then turn it out by hand.
I replaced mine with the gearbox out then wired it up, maybe search for a similar topic ruckus and that might help.
bendy arms may be required though.

i just did this recently, i undid the front transmission mount and jiggled the trans back a little. cant remember the size, but ground an allen key
down so it was short enough to slip in, stuffed around with that for a while, then tried the parrot nose vise grips (these are my best friend) that
got the plug out. then just used an open end spanner to put the switch in.
MAKE SURE YOU PUT AN INLINE FUSE INBETWEEN THE COIL AND SWITCH!
