vibration/shudder going around left hand corners

next problem with the kombi is that when i go around a left hand corner there is a bad shudder/ vibration that seems to be coming from the rear of the kombi. when i go around a right hand corner there is nothing. i am thinking that maybe the left hand side cv is binding up. could this be the problem or is it something else

?

You really need to get it up on a hoist and check all around the motor, gearbox, bearings driveshafts, everything. It would be impossible to guess without looking.

Agreed. Could be anything from a grabby brake to a loose engine mount.

Check the tension of every nut/bolt you can see while you are under there too. Check how well your wheels spin, and that they spin in the opposite direction freely when you spin one wheel.

It could be a slightly off true trailing arm too. Actually that extends to the entire suspension system. If anything is assymetrical it can cause turning problems like a dragging wheel in one direction.
I guess you could check the distance between a point on the trailing arms and some symmetrical point on the vehicle. can't remember what's under there right now. Sorry. If it's too far different. find the problem and fix it. Check the affected side's CV joint too as it may be damaged.
