depends

I have had a 1776 with a DFEV (Progressive) Weber and a 1916 with a 34 pict

Both were good.

I jetted the weber myself and the Pict was done.

Is the dual throat weber progressive (DFEV etc) or non (IDF etc) ???

You going to jet it your self??

it has a standard cam. the cary is from a 1600 motor and I have no idea whether the weber is progressive or non. how do you tell?

Simple
Open the throttle, if one butterfly opens before the other then the carb is progressive.

it doesn't seem to be progressive carby. Alli can tell is it is a dual weber with brevettato on one side and bolgna on the other with a high rise manifold. I also have a 34 pict carby. Which would be best suited for reliable transport. The 1776 is balanced with a counterweight crank and standard cam.
